FIREBASE NOTICE QR Decoder: Scan & PDF Tools Effective Date: October 27, 2026 Last Updated: October 27, 2026 1. KEY POINTS QR Decoder: Scan & PDF Tools (the “App”), published by Jesus Afkerian, an individual operating under the AFKERIAN INTERACTIVE brand (“AFKERIAN INTERACTIVE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure how the App is used and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports. These are Google services, provided by Google LLC under Google's terms. This notice lists the components and explains how the App uses them. This is version 2.4 of this notice. The App's Privacy Policy, at https://afkerianinteractive.com/qr-decoder/privacy-policy.html, describes the data in full. 2. COMPONENTS - Firebase Android BoM (bill of materials), version 35.1.0, which sets the versions below. - Google Analytics for Firebase: com.google.firebase:firebase-analytics, version 24.0.0, with the Google Play services measurement libraries (play-services-measurement and related modules), version 24.0.0. - Firebase Crashlytics: com.google.firebase:firebase-crashlytics, version 21.0.1. - Firebase Sessions: com.google.firebase:firebase-sessions, version 4.0.1, used by Crashlytics. - Firebase Installations: com.google.firebase:firebase-installations, version 20.0.0. - Firebase common, components, encoders and data transport libraries, and Google's data transport libraries (com.google.android.datatransport, version 5.0.0), used by the components above. These are proprietary software that Google distributes under the Android Software Development Kit License (https://developer.android.com/studio/terms) and the Firebase terms listed in Section 6. 3. HOW THE APP USES THEM - Analytics. The App uses only Analytics' automatic collection. It does not add its own events, user identifiers or user properties. On the first launch, the App sets Analytics consent to denied for analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization until Google's consent check finishes. After the check, all four are granted if Google reports that ads may be requested. Where Google's tool determines that European data protection law applies, each follows the purposes accepted in Google's consent message and stays denied if no consent is recorded. If the check does not allow ads, all four are denied. - Crashlytics. Crash reporting is on in every published version of the App and does not depend on the consent check. The App does not add custom logs, custom keys or user identifiers to crash reports. - Our project settings, as of the date of this notice: Analytics keeps event-level data and user-level data for 2 months each, with reset on new activity turned on. Google signals is off. The Analytics property is not linked to AdMob, Google Ads or BigQuery. Sharing Analytics data with other Google products and services is off. The account settings for modeling contributions and business insights, technical support, and recommendations for our business are on. We have not accepted Google's Data Processing Terms for our Google Analytics account. Granular location and device data collection is on. The Firebase setting that lets Google use Firebase service data for recommendations about and to improve Google services that are not Firebase is off as of October 27, 2026. Google states that it still uses Firebase service data for other purposes under its privacy policy and applicable terms, including to provide, maintain and improve Firebase, to make recommendations about Firebase, to protect users, the public and Google, to comply with legal obligations, and to deliver and improve other services we request, such as Google products we link to our Firebase project. 4. DATA - Google Analytics for Firebase collects automatic events such as first open, sessions, engagement and app updates, an app-instance identifier, the Android advertising ID (removed when a user opts out of personalization in Android settings), approximate location, device and operating system information, and the Google Play install referrer. Source: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/11593727. - Firebase Crashlytics collects stack traces, relevant application state, relevant device metadata and a Crashlytics installation UUID. Firebase Sessions collects app metadata, device metadata and application metrics. Firebase Installations collects a per-installation identifier. Google states that Firebase encrypts this data in transit using HTTPS. Source: https://firebase.google.com/docs/android/play-data-disclosure. Google's Firebase privacy page also lists, among the information Crashlytics collects, a Firebase session ID, a random identifier used to tag events with a session. Source: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. - Retention: Google states that Crashlytics keeps crash stack traces and associated identifiers, including Crashlytics installation UUIDs and Firebase installation IDs, for 90 days before it starts removing them from live and backup systems. Source: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Google also states that Firebase deletes an installation ID after 270 days of inactivity, its current threshold, and that deleting an installation ID does not delete Analytics data. Source: https://firebase.google.com/docs/projects/manage-installations. - Google states that, for Firebase services such as Crashlytics, Sessions and Installations, it generally acts as a data processor or service provider for its customers, and that Google Analytics is a separate service subject to separate terms. Source: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. 5. YOUR CHOICES - Delete or reset your advertising ID in Android settings (Settings, then Privacy, then Ads on most devices). - Clear the App's storage or uninstall the App. The App then creates new Analytics, Firebase Installations and Crashlytics identifiers the next time it is opened. The advertising ID does not change when you do this, so delete or reset it as well if you do not want later Analytics data to include the same advertising ID. - The App has no separate switch to turn off Analytics or Crashlytics. 6.
