HOW TO DELETE YOUR DATA QR Decoder: Scan & PDF Tools Effective Date: October 27, 2026 Last Updated: October 27, 2026 1. KEY POINTS QR Decoder: Scan & PDF Tools (the “App”) is published by Jesus Afkerian, an individual operating under the AFKERIAN INTERACTIVE brand (“AFKERIAN INTERACTIVE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This page explains how to delete the data connected with the App. There are four kinds, and each is deleted in a different way. - Data kept only on your phone: you delete it yourself, in the App, by clearing the App's storage, or by uninstalling the App. Saved files in Pictures/QR Decoder and Documents/QR Decoder stay after uninstall, so delete them separately. - Data that Google services collect for their own purposes (AdMob ads, the consent tool, ML Kit and Google Play services): we do not hold it and cannot delete it. You can delete your advertising ID and use Google's own tools. - Data that reaches our Firebase project (Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics): it is linked to identifiers created on your phone and to your advertising ID, not to your name or email address, so we cannot find your records. Google deletes most of it automatically after the periods in Section 5.2. Google does not delete aggregated Analytics reports on that schedule, and it states no deletion period for Firebase Sessions data. - Emails you sent us: we delete them within 30 days when you ask. The App has no account, so there is no account to delete. Our Privacy Policy, at https://afkerianinteractive.com/qr-decoder/privacy-policy.html, has the full details. 2. WHO WE ARE AFKERIAN INTERACTIVE develops the App and handles deletion requests for the data it controls. Jesus Afkerian is the founder and owner of AFKERIAN INTERACTIVE. We are located in Florida, United States. Write to us at afkerian.support@gmail.com. 3. DATA KEPT ONLY ON YOUR PHONE 3.1 What it is The App stores the following on your phone and never sends it to us: - History: the full content of every code you scan with the scanner (including passwords inside Wi-Fi QR codes), the text you extract from scanned documents, and the names and locations of the scanned documents and ID card scans you save; - a list of the documents you extracted text from (about 200 at most), with each document's location and, when the App can read them, its storage provider's identifier and a fingerprint of the file, which the App keeps so that each document has one History entry and is recognized when you open it again (Privacy Policy Section 3.2); - Stock Pro scan sessions that are still open (the App deletes them when the session ends); - reports you shared from a Stock Pro scan session, which the App keeps in its own folder in your phone's storage (Android/data/com.afkgames.qrdecoder/files/Documents); - documents, pages and files you work on in the App's private storage; - digital IDs you imported and handwritten signatures you saved; - Stock Pro companies, products, stock movements, product photos, company logos and printer profiles; - the author name you use for comments in Word documents; and - settings, the times you saw full-screen ads, any ad-free period you earned, and the consent information that Google's consent tool stores on the phone. 3.2 Delete some of it in the App - History: delete a single entry, or delete all of History at once. The History screen lists your 20 most recent entries. Older entries are still stored until you delete them: you can find them with search, and deleting all of History removes them too. Deleting History does not delete the list of documents described in Section 3.1. Clearing the App's storage does (Section 3.3). - Digital IDs and signatures: delete each one in the PDF editor. - Stock Pro: delete companies, products and printer profiles in Stock Pro. 3.3 Delete all of it at once - Clear the App's storage: open Android Settings, then Apps, then QR Decoder, then Storage and tap Clear storage (on some devices, Clear data). Menu names vary by device. This deletes everything in the App's private storage, including the App's folder in Android/data and the reports you shared from Stock Pro scan sessions. - Or uninstall the App. Android deletes the App's private storage, including that folder, when the App is removed. The App turns off Android backups of its data, so a backup copy is not restored when you reinstall the App or set up a new phone. 3.4 Files that stay after you uninstall When you save files, the App puts images in Pictures/QR Decoder and PDFs and documents, including ID card scans, in Documents/QR Decoder, unless you chose another location. Clearing storage and uninstalling do not delete these files. Open your Files or Photos app, go to these folders (or the location you chose), and delete the files you no longer want. If a photo or cloud backup app copied them, delete them in that app too. 3.5 Copies outside the App - The clipboard: text you copied, and a Wi-Fi password the App copied for you, can stay on the clipboard until you copy something else or Android clears it. To remove it sooner, copy something else, or clear the clipboard if your device offers that option. - Things you shared, printed, searched or sent to your other device: the app, service, printer or device you chose has its own copy. Delete it there. 4. DATA GOOGLE SERVICES COLLECT FOR THEIR OWN PURPOSES 4.1 What it is - Google AdMob (ads): your IP address, how you interact with the App and its ads, diagnostic information, your Android advertising ID and the App Set ID. - Google User Messaging Platform (the consent tool): the request the App sends each time it opens, which Google uses to decide whether a consent message is required where you are. We have not found a Google document that lists the data this request contains. - Google ML Kit (scanning): device and app information, installation identifiers, performance metrics and error codes. Google states that your images and text are processed on the phone and not sent to Google. - Google Play services Nearby Connections (the Stock Pro remote scanner): usage analytics such as discovery and connection latency, reliability and throughput, device model, country and Android build version. 4.2 Why we cannot delete it Google receives this data directly from its software in the App and keeps it under its own policies. We do not have access to it, so we cannot delete it for you. 4.3 What you can do - Delete or reset your advertising ID. On most Android devices, open Settings, then Privacy, then Ads and choose Delete advertising ID or Reset advertising ID. On older versions, open Settings, then Privacy, then Advanced, then Ads and turn on Opt out of Ads Personalization. Google states that after you delete the ID, apps that ask for it receive a string of zeros instead. - Manage Google ads for your Google account at My Ad Center: https://myadcenter.google.com. - Turn off Google Play services usage and diagnostics, which Google states controls the Nearby Connections usage analytics: Settings, then Google, then Usage & diagnostics. - Review Google's data controls and privacy policy at https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy, and read how Google keeps and deletes data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/retention. - The consent choices stored on your phone are deleted when you clear the App's storage or uninstall it (Section 3.3). 5. DATA IN OUR FIREBASE PROJECT 5.1 What it is - Google Analytics for Firebase: automatic events such as first open, sessions and engagement time; an app-instance identifier; your advertising ID; approximate location such as country and city; device and operating system information; the App's version; and how the App was installed from Google Play. - Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Sessions: reports when the App crashes or stops responding, with stack traces, the error message, App state, device model and operating system, a Crashlytics installation identifier, a random session identifier, network type and when the App comes to the foreground. - Firebase Installations: a random identifier for each installation of the App. We do not add your name, email address or any content to this data. 5.2 How long it is kept - Google Analytics: event-level data and user-level data are each kept for 2 months. The 2 months for user-level data start again each time the App sends new activity from your phone, so user-level data is deleted 2 months after you stop using the App. Google deletes expired data once a month. Google states that this setting does not apply to standard aggregated reports. - Firebase Crashlytics: Google states that it keeps crash stack traces and associated identifiers, including the Crashlytics installation identifier and the Firebase installation identifier, for 90 days before it starts removing them from its live and backup systems. - Firebase Installations: Google states that Firebase deletes an installation identifier after it has been inactive for 270 days, which is Google's current threshold. Clearing the App's storage or reinstalling the App gives the installation a new identifier. - Firebase Sessions: Google does not state a separate retention period for Firebase Sessions data. 5.3 Why we cannot find your records This data is linked to identifiers created on your phone and to your advertising ID, not to your name, email address or any account. If you write to us, we have no way to tell which records came from your phone, so we cannot delete specific records. We will not ask you to send us identifiers from your phone. 5.4 What you can do - Clear the App's storage, or uninstall and reinstall the App (Section 3.3), and also delete or reset your advertising ID (Section 4.3). Clearing storage stops new data from that installation, and the App creates new Analytics, Firebase Installations and Crashlytics identifiers the next time you open it. Analytics also receives your advertising ID, which stays the same until you delete or reset it. After both steps, new data is not linked to the old records through these identifiers. - Google states that Google Analytics removes the advertising ID when you opt out of personalization in Android settings. This affects data sent after you delete the ID or opt out. Google does not state that it removes the ID from records it has already received. - The old records are deleted automatically on the schedule in Section 5.2. 6. EMAILS YOU SENT US 6.1 How to ask Email afkerian.support@gmail.com from the address you used to write to us, with the subject QR Decoder: Data Deletion Request. Tell us whether you want all of your emails deleted or only some. If your message is unclear, we may write to that address once to ask what you want deleted. We will not ask for an ID document. 6.2 What we do Within 30 days of your request, we: - delete your emails, our replies to you and all attachments from our mailbox, including its trash; and - send you one email to tell you it is done. We keep a short record of the request (your email address, the date, what you asked and what we did) for 24 months after we complete it, so that we can show that we handled it. Then we delete the record. Our mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail). Google states that deleted data can remain in its encrypted backup systems for up to 6 months before it is fully removed. 6.3 When we may keep an email If we need an email to resolve a dispute you are part of, or the law requires us to keep it, we keep only what is needed, tell you what we kept and why, and delete it when the reason ends. If you do not ask, we keep support emails for up to 24 months after our last exchange with you, and then delete them. 7. QUICK REFERENCE - History, documents, digital IDs, signatures, Stock Pro, shared Stock Pro reports, settings: you delete them, in the App, with Clear storage, or by uninstalling. - Files in Pictures/QR Decoder and Documents/QR Decoder: you delete them with your Files or Photos app. - AdMob, consent tool, ML Kit and Google Play services data: held by Google. Delete or reset your advertising ID and use Google's controls. - Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics data: Google deletes most of it automatically on the schedule in Section 5.2. We cannot find individual records. - Your emails to us: we delete them within 30 days of your request and keep a short record of the request for 24 months. 8.
