GOOGLE ADVERTISING AND CONSENT SERVICES NOTICE QR Decoder: Scan & PDF Tools Effective Date: October 27, 2026 Last Updated: October 27, 2026 1. KEY POINTS QR Decoder: Scan & PDF Tools (the “App”), published by Jesus Afkerian, an individual operating under the AFKERIAN INTERACTIVE brand (“AFKERIAN INTERACTIVE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), shows ads served by Google AdMob and uses Google's User Messaging Platform to check whether a consent message is required. These are Google services, provided by Google LLC under Google's terms. This notice lists the components and explains how the App uses them. This is version 2.4 of this notice. The App's Privacy Policy, at https://afkerianinteractive.com/qr-decoder/privacy-policy.html, describes the data in full. 2. COMPONENTS - Google Mobile Ads SDK: com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads and play-services-ads-api, version 25.5.0. - Google Play services advertising ID: com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads-identifier, version 18.0.0. - Google Play services App Set ID: com.google.android.gms:play-services-appset, version 16.0.1. - Google User Messaging Platform: com.google.android.ump:user-messaging-platform, version 4.0.0. - Google Play inline install library: com.google.android.play:hsdp, version 2.0.1, included by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. - AndroidX Privacy Sandbox ad services library: androidx.privacysandbox.ads:ads-adservices and ads-adservices-java, version 1.1.0-beta11, included by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. This library is open source under the Apache License, Version 2.0 (LICENSE_APACHE_2_0.txt). - AndroidX WorkManager: androidx.work:work-runtime, version 2.7.0, included by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, also under the Apache License, Version 2.0. The Google components are proprietary software that Google distributes under the Android Software Development Kit License (https://developer.android.com/studio/terms) and the service terms listed in Section 6. 3. HOW THE APP USES THEM - Ads appear only as a banner on the Home screen, an occasional full-screen ad when you return to Home from a tool and when you export a PDF from the document scanner or from recognized text (after the file is created and before you save or share it), and an optional rewarded ad. A finished rewarded ad hides the banner and full-screen ads for 60 minutes. - Each time the App starts, it asks the User Messaging Platform whether a consent or privacy message is required. The App initializes the Google Mobile Ads SDK and requests ads only after that check reports that ads may be requested. If the check reports that a privacy options control is required, the App shows Privacy options in Settings. As of the date of this notice, no consent or opt-out message is set up for the countries where we offer the App. - The App asks Google for ads rated no higher than T (suitable for teens and older). It does not mark ad requests as directed to children, and it leaves Google's age-restricted treatment setting unspecified, because the App is for adults. 4. DATA Google states that the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, and encrypts in transit using TLS: the device's IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), product interactions such as app launches, taps and video views, diagnostic information such as app launch time, hang rate and energy usage, and device identifiers: the Android advertising ID, the App Set ID and, where applicable, other identifiers. Source: https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure. The User Messaging Platform sends a request to Google each time the App starts to learn whether a message is required in the user's region, and stores consent choices on the device. We have not found a Google document that lists the data it collects for this check. Google uses this data under its own policies, including https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. 5. YOUR CHOICES - Delete or reset your advertising ID: on most Android devices, Settings, then Privacy, then Ads. On older versions, Settings, then Privacy, then Advanced, then Ads, then Opt out of Ads Personalization. - Use Privacy options in the App's Settings, if the App shows it. It changes your choices for ads. - Manage Google ads for your Google account at https://myadcenter.google.com. 6.
